Established in 1996 in Adelaide, South Australia, Ledger grew out of a need identified by its director after many years working in and consulting to businesses, for an organisation to supply outsourced business administration and bookkeeping services. It was initially established as a data processing bureau, and data management remains a significant component of the firm’s services provision.
Understanding client needs and setting up the right mix of technology, systems and people are central to Ledger’s operation. Using remote access technology, clients’ work can be processed on their premises and they have continual online access to their data and our systems.
We recognise the need for quality and trustworthy staff and have assembled an experienced team of bookkeepers, accountants and data entry specialists. Ledger’s team have complementary skills and relish the challenge of their shared common purpose. Karen Simmonds, Director, heads up the team. A qualified accountant and AAT member, her extensive experience in corporate, international and business banking is backed by strong analytical skills, sound financial know-how and business consultancy expertise in the manufacturing and e-commerce sectors. A sporting enthusiast, Karen is a past state golf champion and was awarded with the Australian Sports Medal for 2000.
